AUGUST 2024 — Another great milestone for Punlaan School is the commencement exercise of the first batch of Pharmacy Assistants last July 22, 2024. 

In partnership with Watsons Philippines and through a donation made by Beiersdorf Philippines, Punlaan has launched its Pharmacy Services program in November 2023 for four batches of Pharmacy Assistant scholars. Starting with 20 graduates of the pioneering batch, this ceremony marked the start of the School’s vision to expand further its thrust of person-centered care. 

The Pharmacy Apprenticeship program offering is crafted with Watsons Philippines, where students undergo six months of training, including in-school and on-the-job training in selected Watsons branches. This partnership highlights the value of empowering more young Filipinas to not only be skilled and competent in providing healthcare services, but also to be formed in good values and attitudes for the future. 

Held in Punlaan School’s Henry Sy auditorium, the ceremony was attended by Watsons Philippines’ Managing Director Mr. Danilo Chiong, Chief Operating Officer Mr. Jefferson Go, and Director for Innovations Projects Ms. Josie Arriola; Beiersdorf Philippines’ Country Manager Ms. Nimisha Jain; FPTI President Mrs. Imelda Nibungco; and Punlaan School’s School Director Ms. Kai Nabatar, among others.

The Pharmacy Services program of Punlaan School is NCIII accredited by TESDA. This program is exclusively in partnership with Watsons Philippines, and sponsored by Beiersdorf.
